The focus of this study is the method of hunting wild animals in the desert with bow and arrow and what the anatomy of holding and drawing the bow in the scene might reveal taking into account the principles of ancient Egyptian art. Various epigraphic recordings of the relevant scene in the tomb of Khnumhotep II at Beni Hassan are discussed.
