After a general introduction to the excavations at the site of the OK cemetery of el-Hagarsa, just south of Sohag, the author concentrates on the coffins and mummies found in one of the chamber of one of the tombs. The coffins are divided into four types, and the possible family relationships based on the coffin inscriptions are reconstructed. The medical examination of the six bodies revealed that the family met a violent death, probably at the hand of the Thebans at the end of the OK. (OEB)
