Enigmatic scenes of intimate contact with dogs in the Old Kingdom

The article explores the interaction of humans with animals - here specifically with dogs - in the Old Kingdom wall scenes and as shown in a small figurines and an amulets (Cairo JE 72143, London UC 38150). Human-Animal Studies provides a new approach to understanding the unusual iconography.
