Metalworking at Amarna: a preliminary report

The study reports on work conducted on the corpus of copper ally and iron objects from the site of Tell el-Amarna. The metal objects were recorded as were the crucibles, and the residues on the inner surfaces of these crucibles were analysed. Experiments replicating the ancient processes of metal-working and faience firing were conducted.
