<p dir="ltr">In this article, the author explores the evidence for King Teti's accession to the throne as the founder of the 6th Dynasty of Egypt's Old Kingdom. A complex web of (family) relationships and conflicts among the high officials at the time indicate that the transition might not have been without tension.</p>
