Nepotism in the Egyptian Sixth Dynasty

In this article, the author explores the evidence for King Teti's accession to the throne as the founder of the 6th Dynasty of Egypt's Old Kingdom. A complex web of (family) relationships and conflicts among the high officials at the time indicate that the transition might not have been without tension.
