Discussion of the theories of G.A. Reisner (AEB 1955.4189) and M. Lehner (AEB 1985.0843) about the tomb of queen Hetepheres I (Giza G 7000x) and the missing mummy in this unspoilt grave. The author also discusses the titles and family relationships of this queen. She was the mother of Khufu and probably the wife of Sneferu, since that king's name and some of his possessions were found in her tomb. (OEB)
