Report on the excavations at Ismant el-Kharab and Mut el-Kharab in 2005

<p dir="ltr">With appendices by Helen Whitehouse ("A note on the wall paintings from B/3/1 at Ismant el-Kharab") and Ashten Warfe ("Report on a study of Sheikh Muftah pottery from Mut el-Kharab"). </p><p dir="ltr">Report on Ismant el-Kharab (ancient Kellis) the excavations at the extreme east of the site (mounds C/1 and C/2) that point to a significant Early Roman Period settlement with painted villas including a Temple of Tutu and that of Tashay and Neith. At Mut el-Kharab (ancient Mothis) excavations focussed on the Temple of Seth and the northwestern and southeastern corners of the temenos.</p>
