Surveying at the edges of Egypt: the archaeology of pharaonic mining and quarrying

Brief report on fieldwork concentrating specifically on the settlements and roads associated with Egyptian mineral procurement by quarrying and mining expeditions. It is mainly concerned here with the amethyst and gold mines at Wadi el-Hudi, near Aswan.
