This article reports on the Jan/Feb 1991 season of excavations at Ismant el-Kharab by the Dakhleh Oasis Project funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC). Investigation of the residential quarter, termed Area A, in the centre of the site continued and the excavation of the Main Temple at its western end was commenced. The excavation of the Roman Period village yielded spectacular results.
