The work in the 2010 season focussed on exposing and planning what could be salvaged of the internal structure of the ancient Coptic church of Deit Abu Metta; exploring structures to the north of the church and select rooms in the tower; and investigating outlying structures. The aim was to gain insight into the date of the use of the site as a whole.
