The Hereafter: ancient Egyptian beliefs with special reference to the <i>Amduat</i>

<p dir="ltr">After briefly presenting the Ancient Egyptian view of the world and basic characteristics of Egyptian beliefs concerning the Hereafter as background to the Amduat, the author describes the sun-god's journey through the twelve hours of the night as conceived in the Amduat (vignettes included here).
