The study is based on a corpus of 68 fishing and fowling scenes known from the 5th and 6th Dynasties from all regions of Old Kingdom Egypt. The specific features of this scene type in the newly discovered tomb of Remni in the Teti cemetery north at Saqqara are analysed in the light of this comparative material.
