The focal point of the excavations at Ismant el-Kharab in the Dakhla Oasis was the inner temenos of the temple of Tutu, particularly the rear of the temple and the shrines. The inner temenos of the temple contains the following structures: the remains of the stone temple dedicated to Tutu, Neith and Tapshay; the large two-roomed, mud brick painted Shrine I and three other shrines (II-IV). After a note on a dedicatory inscription of either Emperor Claudius or Nero, two large tombs on the west side are briefly described. (OEB)
