The investigation covered by this report seeks to evaluate and identify a text in database corpus format in terms of the generic/stylistic parameters developed by the linguist Douglas Biber. The text of Sinuhe as translated by Lichtheim was chosen, with the particular objective to determine possible differentiation between the subgenres 'autobiography' and 'narrative fiction'. Analysis of the data reveals that many factors other than style were present. (OEB)
