At the site of TT 147, work by the Macquarie Theban Tombs Project began in 2002. The first task had been to remove the layer of soot that covered the paint-decorated walls in side the tomb. This process of conservation not only allowed to identify the original tomb owner's name and titles as Neferrenpet but also to document erasures of the Amarna period.
