Cleaning and conservation work in the tomb TT 147 of Neferrenpet, has brought to light deliberate and systematic erasures of the tomb owner's name and of select motifs in the painted decoration of the tomb walls. The article presents a differentiated and critical interpretation of the damage, erasures and inscriptions from later re-use of the tomb encountered.
