Brief report on the excavations in the Theban tomb of Saroy at Dra Abu el-Naga (TT 233). Having briefly dealt with the excavation, reconstruction and conservation as well as with the few small finds, the author studies the decoration of the tomb and its owners in more detail. Study of the decoration of the tomb, which was originally built for Saroy's assistant Amenhotep-Huy, adds significantly to the knowledge about Saroy's titles and career and has led to the correction of older data in Porter & Moss. The new information on the titles permits to link him to two statues from the Karnak Cachette and confirms the date of the tomb, the reign of Ramses II. (OEB)
