Two decorated blocks recently found at the temple at Mut el-Kharab explicitly name the god Seth and provide important information on the original context of the two stelae in the Ashmolean Museum Oxford. In this light, the author deals with the cult of Seth in the Dakhla Oasis. The author then draws attention to a group of sandstone relief fragments of high quality dating to the reign of Psammetichus I, one image of whom shows features of the archaizing style of the Late Period. The sudden interest in the oases in the 26th Dynasty may be related to the presence of Libyans there. (OEB)
