This study investigates the effects of CSR/ESG and the green factor on financial markets, starting with a study of the performance of ESG-oriented portfolios upon the 2015 enactment of the Paris Agreement, a legally binding international treaty on climate change. The effects of CSR/ESG performance on business resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic shock are then investigated. Lastly, the study examines the green bond and the effects of investors’ attention on the green bond market. This study’s findings are helpful for business managers, investors and portfolio managers who want to embrace CSR/ESG strategies in their business model and investment strategies.
